For
an excellent introduction to Molokai, here's a four minute film
produced by National Geographic on the island and its people:
Molokai, Far From the Tourist Stampedes
Molokai
has no traffic lights, two gas stations, two golf courses, and all the
good things you come to Hawaii to enjoy like beaches, snorkeling, diving,
sunbathing, scenery, great food, Hawaiian entertainment and fantastic
oceanside golf.
Molokai
is an island unspoiled by tourism and rapid development. While there's
plenty to do, you'll find that it's still a peaceful tropical paradise
free of schedules and crowds.
There
are plenty of things to see and do on Molokai but you'll find that everything
is much more personal and much less regimented. Tours and
guided activities often involve only you and the guide and you'll never
find a crowded beach. Feel free to do things at your leisure,
there's never a need to hurry.
